Frequently Asked Questions:
Do you have any pets?
Yes, we have 2 fluffy french bulldogs Max and Luna as well as three indoor cats. Everyone is super friendly with other visiting animals and people, however Max and Luna are not spayed or neutered, so I am very careful of them around other animals. I do have the means to separate everyone if needed.
Do you have set times for pick up & drop offs?
I do not have set hours, as my schedule looks different every day. For this reason, you will need to schedule a time to drop off and to pick up your pet to allow me to maintain a schedule and best serve everyone I need to. I am home full time, and am generally very flexible, however there may be days that are busier than others where I am working with other clients, kids school schedules and activities, or various appointments we may have so I do ask that you please make sure you are on time! I do understand that things come up, and plans may change. If that's the case, please let me know asap and I will try and make sure we can set up a new time.
Do you have a fenced in yard?
Yes, I do! I have about 1/2 acre fenced in backyard. It is 4 ft chain link fence, and I do live on a corner lot with lots of neighbors frequently walking by, so if you think your dog may be a jumper, please let me know.
What should I bring for my dogs stay?
-Enough food for their entire time either with feeding instructions or in measured out servings
-Leash, with their collar or harness
-Something comforting from home; their dog bed, blanket, favorite toy
-Their treats if they have a sensitive stomach or allergies
-Any medications they may need (in the original RX container)
-Bark collar / training collar if your dog uses one
-Payment at drop off (either cash or via PayPal or Venmo)
*Please make sure your dog is current on flea/tick prevention before coming.
Where will my dog sleep?
I try to keep sleeping similar to what they are used to at home, however pets may not free roam the house overnight for safety reasons. They are generally either in a bedroom with us, or crated if they prefer that.
Where do you keep cats that you board? Are they around your animals?
I only have the space to board one or sometimes two cat families at a time. They have their own "kitty suite" either in our master bedroom with us for more social cats, or in our spare bedroom for cats who prefer it to be quieter. They are never around my cats or any other animals that are here, so they are totally safe. They have big windows they can look out of and a bed to cozy up on as well as lots of toys.
What do I need to bring for my cats stay with you?
-Enough food for their entire time
-A clean, NEW litterbox pan. Not their everyday litterbox from home. This can be a cheap disposable one. Please let me know if you want it back at the end of their stay, otherwise I will toss it
-Litter for their litterbox with a scoop
-Something comforting from home; this can be their bed, blanket, or a favorite toy

How far in advance can I book with you?
I am typically booking out 8-12 weeks in advance, though the sooner you know you'll be needing me its best to reach out to secure your spot. I cannot guarantee I'll be able to accommodate a last-minute request.
How many dogs do you accept at a time?
It really just depends. Being I do this out of my home I like to keep numbers low to keep that "just like home" feel and have it safe and stress free for everyone. During holiday and peak times, I usually have a full house, but I try not to take more than three families at a time especially if someone is new here. I am very careful who I have here if there are multiple households here at a time to ensure everyone would be a good fit together. If I am watching any unspayed females, a young puppy, or a senior dog that maybe enjoys its quiet time I can usually be very accommodating and I have the ability to separate dogs if needed.
Does my dog need to be spayed or neutered to stay with you?
No, however I generally do not accept male dogs older than 9 months old that are not neutered just because they tend to mark and get too excited around other females. Being that my female isn't spayed it's just not something I'm willing to risk. I also do not accept females in heat. If your female is older and not spayed that is ok, I just need to know about it.
What if I have to cancel?
I do not require any deposit upfront to hold your spot, so you are not out any money if you cancel but out of respect, I do ask that you please give me as much notice as possible so I can try to fill your spot. Due to the low number of animals I accept at a time I am usually turning away others, so the sooner I know the better.
Does my dog need to be up to date on vaccines to stay with you?
It is definitely encouraged but not required. I always recommend they have their Bordetella vaccine since they will be in contact with other dogs. I do require that they be current with their flea and tick prevention though, so nothing gets brought into my home.
Do you require meet and greets with new clients?
I do not require meet and greets prior to your dogs stay here unless they have never been around cats then it's generally a good idea to make sure they will be friendly with them. If you wish to come by prior to your dog staying here we can try and set something up. I prefer to do meet and greets during the weekdays if possible.
