Frequently Asked Questions:

 Do you have any pets?

Yes, we have 2 fluffy french bulldogs, Max and Luna as well as three indoor cats. Everyone is super friendly with other visiting animals and people, however Max is not neutered, so I am very careful with him around other animals. I do have the means to separate everyone if needed. All dogs staying here must be non-aggressive with all humans and other animals!

Do you have set times for pick up & drop offs?
I do not have set hours, as my schedule looks different every day. For this reason, you will need to schedule a time to drop off and to pick up your pet to allow me to maintain a schedule and best serve everyone I need to. I am home full time, and am generally very flexible, however there may be days that are busier than others where I am working with other clients, kids school and activity schedules, or various appointments we may have so I do ask that you please make sure you are on time!  I do understand that things come up, and plans may change. If that's the case, please let me know ASAP and I will try and make sure we can set up a new time that works for the both of us.

Do you have a fenced in yard?
Yes, I do! I have about 1/2 acre fully fenced in backyard. It is 4 ft chain link privacy fence. If you think your dog may be a jumper, please let me know.

What should I bring for my dogs stay?
-Enough food for their entire stay either with feeding instructions or in measured out servings
-Leash, with their collar or harness
-Something comforting from home; their dog bed, blanket, favorite toy
-Their treats if they have a sensitive stomach or allergies
-Any medications they may need (in the original RX container)
-Bark collar / training collar if your dog uses one
-Payment (due in full at time of drop off)
*Please make sure your dog is current on flea/tick prevention before coming.

Where will my dog sleep?
All dogs sleep in our home with us and I try to keep it similar to what they are used to at home, however pets may not free roam the house overnight for safety reasons. They are generally either in a bedroom with us with a dog bed or cozy blankets or crated if they prefer that. I do have crates in all different sizes if that is what your dog will feel most comfortable in.

Where do you keep cats that you board? Are they around your animals?
I only have the space to board one or two cat families at a time. They have their own "kitty suite" either in our master bedroom with us for more social cats, or in our spare bedroom for cats who prefer it to be quieter.  They are never around my cats or any other animals that are here, so they are totally safe. They have big windows they can look out of and a bed to cozy up on as well as lots of toys.

What do I need to bring for my cats stay with you?
               -Enough
food for their entire stay
-A clean, NEW litterbox pan. Not their everyday litterbox from home. This can be a cheap disposable one. Please let                   me know if you want it back at the end of their stay, otherwise I will toss it
-Litter for their litterbox, with a scoop
-Something comforting from home; this can be their bed, blanket, or a favorite toy
-Payment (due in full at time of drop off)

How much do you charge?
Pricing varies depending on the service. All of my rates can be found listed on my services page.  Prices listed are per day, not necessarily for a 24-hour period. If your pet is dropped off after 6pm or picked up before 10am on the last day it will be charged as a half day, anything longer than that is a full day rate. Pricing is subject to change at any time.

*Effective January 2026 a deposit equivalent of 1-Nights stay will be required to book a dog or cat boarding stay here.

How far in advance can I book with you?
I am typically booking out 4-8 weeks in advance, though the sooner you know you'll be needing me its best to reach out to secure your spot.  I cannot guarantee I'll be able to accommodate a last-minute request. Also, please don't secure dates with me until your travel plans have been made. Once dates have been booked, they are saved just for you.

How do I reserve boarding for my dog(s) or cat(s)?
Please fill out a pet care request form located on the top menu of my website or by using the link below. Please be specific with your request and include as much information as possible. A simple "Will you be able to watch my 2 dogs for a week in December?" is not helpful. Once I receive your request, I will get back to you via your preferred method either by email or text within 24 hours or the next business day.  Please make sure you check your junk folder for emails as they do not always go to your inbox. Once this has been done, I will review your request and respond back with the next steps. Dates are not held or confirmed until I approve your request, and a boarding deposit has been received.

How many dogs do you accept at a time?
It really just depends. Being I do this out of my home I like to keep numbers low to keep that "just like home" feel and have it safe and stress free for everyone. During holiday and peak times, I am usually watching a few families at a time, but I try not to take more than two or three families at a time especially if someone is new here.  I am very selective who I have here if there are multiple households staying with me at a time to ensure everyone would be a good fit together. If I am watching any unspayed females, young puppies, or a senior dog that maybe enjoys its quiet time I can usually be very accommodating, and I do have the ability to separate dogs if needed.

Does my dog need to be spayed or neutered to stay with you?
No, however I generally do not accept male dogs older than 6-7 months old that are not neutered just because they tend to mark and get too excited around other females.  I also do not accept any females in heat. If your female is older and not spayed that is ok, I just need to know about it ahead of time.

What if I have to cancel?
All deposits are non-refundable. At this time, the only pre-payment required is a deposit equivalent of a 1-night's stay. Full payment of your stay is not required in advance so you will only be out your 1-night stays deposit. I understand life happens and often times things can come up that are out of our control. Out of respect I do ask that you please give me as much notice as possible so I can try to fill your spot. Since I keep things intentionally small here, I am usually turning away others, so the sooner I know the better.

Does my dog need to be up to date on vaccines to stay with you?
It is definitely encouraged but not required. I always recommend they have their rabies and their bordetella vaccine since they will be in contact with other dogs. I do require that they be current with their flea and tick prevention though, so nothing gets brought into my home.

Do you require meet and greets with new clients?
I do not require meet and greets prior to your dogs first stay here. If they have never been around cats before, and your worried they may not be good with them it may be a good idea, however I prefer to do meet and greets during the weekdays if possible while no current boardings are happening. There may not always be a lot of options, but I will try my best to make something work if that is important to you.

What requirements to you have?
- All dogs must be current on flea/tick prevention. Rabies, Distemper, and Bordetella are strongly encouraged.
- Raw food diets are not permitted.
- All males over 7 months of age must be neutered. I do not tolerate marking behavior indoors. If this happens during their stay here they will be fitted and required to wear male belly bands at the owner's expense.
- No female dogs in heat.
- Everyone staying here must be friendly with humans as well as other dogs and cats. I do not tolerate aggression as this is our home and needs to remain a safe place for everyone.
- If your dog takes any medications that will need to be administered during their stay it needs to be brought in the original RX container with vet info provided.

If I have more questions, what is the best way to contact you?
The best way to get ahold of me is by email. I will try my best to get back to you as soon as possible.
